@aggie: Photoshop - image-adjust-desaturate Then : Adjusted colour balance till it looked right. Adjusted contrast etc for final tweaks.
I tried to do the same in Gimpshop, as I would like to abandon Adobe partly because of their translatlantic pricing model - c3 here costs double what it costs in the US, and partly because of the way they had a Russian programmer jailed for telling the world their DRM software was full of holes, but the Gimp was horribly slow and the results less pleasing.
Wonderful color effect!
